Saving money with cloth nappies

You can save money using cloth nappies but the exact amount will depend on you and your circumstances.

We took a packet of disposables on a family holiday, they cost a fiver and lasted a week.  My little girl didn’t toilet train until she was three.  So at a conservative estimate I would have spent 3 x 52 weeks x £5 on nappies which comes to a grand total of £780.  My little boy has just turned 2 and his disposables nappies would have cost so far £520 (2 x 52 x £5) but in fact we have spent nothing on his nappies at all because he used all his sister’s old ones (just don’t tell him he’s wearing pink nappies).
