Free cloth nappies to try with no obligation

We know that real nappies are easy to use, save you money and send less to landfill

So what's the problem - why aren't you using them?

We also know that in the beginning there can be some confusion over exactly which nappies to choose and then there are the doubts over washing them.

So have some to try for free (just wash & give them back again)

But there's no such thing as a free lunch we hear you say - ok, the nappies are free but we do ask for a deposit which we give you back again and for some feedback when you've finished with them, but that's it. Simply collect, use, wash and give back. What's really interesting is that when most families give the loan nappies back they then go out and buy some of their own and keep on using them.

So what's in the kit?

Everything you'll need for three weeks including the nappies, bucket, nippas and liners. Each kit contains a collection of the leading brands of nappies inlcuding Little Lambs, Nappy Makers, Tots Bots, Motherease, Mothercare Smart Nappy, Ellas House nappies and Nappies by Minki (all of which are also available to view in our nappy library and at our nappuccinos). The idea is that you can try a range of different nappies and fabrics (including cotton, hemp, microfiber and bamboo) to get a feel for what's going to work best for you and your baby.

Ok I'm interested, what do I do next?

Sign up for the scheme straight away - we usually have a waiting list so by signing up now there's a better chance of getting the nappies when you want them. Once you have signed up we'll will be in touch to arrange a date and time for collection and it is as simple as that.

Remember the scheme is available to parents across the greater Glasgow area and if you live in East Renfrewshire there is an additional nappy incentive scheme just for you!

The trial scheme is temporarily on hold! Sorry about that. The mums of the network, all volunteers, are dealing with new babies, new houses and new jobs at the moment and we hope you understand that we just don't have the resources to run the trial scheme too.
